We’re fortunate in our house that we both love chicken. We could, and have, eat it several times a week. There are so many ways of cooking this simple bird that you could eat it every day of the year and never make the same dish twice. Here’s a very simple and delicious bake chicken recipe.
Ingriendts:
- 2 chicken breast, boneless and skinless
- 1 teaspoon melted low-fat margarine
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon Watkins Tarragon
- 1/2 teaspoon Watkins Onion Powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place in a medium-size shallow baking dish.
- In a small bowl, blend margarine, wine, tarragon, onion powder, salt and pepper; pour over chicken.
- Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes or until tender, basting occasionally with juices.
- Pour juices from cooked chicken into a pan; set over medium heat.
- Blend cornstarch with water.
- Add to juices, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Spoon over chicken and serve.
Yield: 2 servings.
