			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lance, Inc. with headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina is recalling 28,087 cases of Tom&#8217;s Barbecue Potato Chips packaged in 1 oz (UPC 021900060406), 2.25 oz (UPC 021900011477) and 8.5 oz (UPC 021900062417) sizes because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Long term complications can include severe arthritis.<span id="more-859"></span></p>
<p>To date, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.</p>
<p>The product was distributed in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, The product is sold in retail stores and was distributed by direct store delivery by Lance route trucks and by Lance distributors.</p>
<p>The product comes in 1 oz, 2.25 oz and 8.5 oz flexible packages. Code dates on the recalled product carry the following expiration dates: May 14 2010, May 21 2010, May 28 2010, Jun 4 2010, Jun 11, 2010, Jun 18 2010, Jun 25 2010, Jul 2 2010, Jul 9 2010, and Jul 16 2010.</p>
<p>Lance was notified by the supplier of the Barbecue Seasoning blend that they had received information from Basic Food Flavors, Inc that a lot number of Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein that they used to manufacture the Barbecue Seasoning could be tainted with Salmonella. Upon receipt of this information, Lance ceased the production and distributing of the product.</p>
<p>Consumers who have purchased Tom&#8217;s Barbecue Potato Chips carrying the above expiration dates are urged to return the product to the place of purchase. Consumers with questions may contact the company between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday at 704 554 5548.</p>

<p>Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.  Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.  In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis. <p>The product is packaged in a yellow canister with product label and the code date can be found on the bottom of the canister.</p>
<p>Bass Pro Shops® has taken these steps following announcements from a supplier that the product was manufactured with crushed black pepper distributed by Mincing Overseas Spice Company. The pepper has been recalled by Mincing because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.</p>
<p>This product was distributed in Bass Pro Shops® stores nationwide, on basspro.com and at select retailers.</p>
<p>Bass Pro Shops® requests that customers who have purchased this product destroy it or return it to the nearest Bass Pro Shops® store for a full refund.  If Bass Pro Shops® customers are unsure if they have the recalled product, they are requested to contact Larry Whiteley at (417) 873-5022 Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or at (417) 689-1118 Evenings and Weekends.</p>
<p>The Uncle Buck’s Beer Batter-Lightly Seasoned Mix has not been linked to any illnesses but proceed to the FDA web-site www.fda.gov2 for updated information. No other Uncle Buck’s products are being recalled or are affected by this recall.</p>

<p>Kroger is recalling Kroger California Seasoning Blend Garlic Powder sold in 2.5-ounce jars with code dates of Sell By: Dec 03 11PS2 and Sell by: Dec 04 11PS2 under the following UPC code: 1111066599.</p>
<p>Stores under the following names in the 31 states where Kroger operates are included in this recall: Kroger, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, Food 4 Less, Fry’s, King Soopers, Smith’s, Dillons, QFC, City Market, Foods Co., Jay C, Scott’s, Owen’s, Baker&#8217;s, Gerbes, Hilander and Pay Less.</p>
<p>No illnesses have been reported in connection with the Kroger products.</p>
<p>Customers who have purchased the above products should not consume them and should return them to a store for a full refund or replacement.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lewis Center, OH &#8211; As a result of a recall of Black  Pepper by Mincing Overseas Spice Company, Spice Barn is recalling two  lots of Black Pepper due to the possibility of contamination with <em>Salmonella</em>.  <em>Salmonella</em> is a common food borne pathogen that can cause  severe illnesses, including fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. While  most individuals recover without medical intervention, the infection can  be life-threatening in some cases such as young children, the elderly  and those with compromised immune systems. There have been no reports of  Salmonella-related illness to date in relation to these products.</p>
<p>The Products are:</p>
<p>Malabar Peppercorns Lot MTC-3258 in 1 and 5 Pound Bags<br />
Distributed between: 1/26/10 to 2/8/10.</p>
<p>Ground Black Pepper Lot MO-3258T in 1 and 5 Pound Bags<br />
Distributed between:12/08/09 to 2/8/10.</p>
<p>All items packaged with this lot number are subject to  this recall. The items were distributed to a small number of customers  in the following states VT, NY, PA, MA, GA, VA, CA, TX, CO, MO, WA, FL,  AL, MI, AZ, AR, WA. Spice Barn is contacting each customer directly and  offering a replacement or refund. Consumers who have purchased these  products are asked not to us them and to destroy the product. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>ULIA&#8217;S SPICES INC, of City of Industry, Ca is recalling all HULLED SESAME SEEDS distributed between November 17, 2009 and February 25,2010, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. <span id="more-839"></span>Healthy persons infected with Salmonella  often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella  can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis. For more information on Salmonella  please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention&#8217;s website at http://www.cdc.gov1.</p>
<p>Julia&#8217;s Spices Inc was notified of this contamination by our supplier. To date no illnesses have been reported to Julia&#8217;s Spices Inc.</p>
<p>The affected Hulled Sesame Seed also known as White Sesame Seeds were distributed in plastic bags between November 17, 2009 and February 25, 2010 in California and Utah by Julia&#8217;s Spices Inc&#8217;s through retail stores. Only the following products are being recalled:</p>
