Ingredients:

2        teaspoons salt

2        teaspoons Watkins Paprika

1        teaspoon Onion Powder

1        teaspoon Watkins Basil

1/2    teaspoon Garlic Powder

1        teaspoon Watkins Black Pepper

thighs and breasts (enough for your family) or 1 whole roasting chicken (3 lbs.)

Directions:

Combine all spices (first 8 ingredients) in a small bowl.  Rinse chicken, inside and out.  Drain well.  Sprinkle spice mixture over chicken (and the inside of chicken if using a whole chicken.)  Place in a resealable plastic bag, seal and refrigerate overnight.  (May be frozen at this point and used latter.)  When ready to roast, place chicken pieces in a black covered roaster.  Bake in a 300 degree  oven for 3 hours.  So flavorful and not real spicy.
