We bought a new gas grill this week and decided the best way to break it in was with steaks. Normally our grill is used for brats and burgers but we thought, what the heck, let’s do it right.
John came up with a new marinade for the steaks and let them rest in the fridge overnight. They were great, even though it was a cheap cut. I’m sure the big reason was the marinade. Here’s how he made it.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 Cup Watkins Meat Magic
- 1/4 Cup Lite Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon Watkins Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Tablespoon Minced onion
DIRECTIONS:
- Pierce the steaks with a fork.
- Mix all ingredients in a glass container.
- Place steak in a glass dish or Ziploc type bag.
- Cover steak with marinade and close container.
- Let set in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
