These cookies are a favorite of my daughter. I try to make them every Christmas for her. Of course this year, since we live within a couple of hours of her, I’ll deliver them in person, instead of trusting the mailman to get them there.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup Butter Crisco
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons Watkins Clear Vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 11 ounce package chocolate kisses
Directions:
- Combine peanut butter, Crisco and sugars.
- Stir in milk, vanilla and eggs.
- Add flour, soda and salt. Mix thoroughtly.
- Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
- Roll in 1/3 cup sugar.
- Place on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.
- Remove from oven and press a milk chocolate kiss (unwrapped) on the center of each cookie.
- Return to oven and bake another 3 minutes.
6 to 7 dozen cookies.
