For those of you that like to use your bread maker here is a really good recipe.
Onion Bread
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup water
- 2/3 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 2 1/2 cups bread flour or flour
- 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoon nonfat dry milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoon yeast
- 1/3 cup grated fresh onion
Directions:
- Add all ingredients at room temperature (70-80 degrees.)
- Press Stop to clear display.
- Press select until desired setting appears on the display.
- Press Start.
- When unit signals during the kneading cycle, add additional flour (1 tablespoon at a time) if the dough looks too wet.
- When the unit and the display reads 0.00, press Stop and remove bread.
I made this on Setting #2.
These are the directions for my bread maker, you may need to adjust them for your bread maker.
