Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

By Char | April 8, 2008

Hi, it looks like you're new to my blog, which is great because I love getting new visitors! Please consider subscribing to my RSS feed. It's a full text feed, and you can also subscribe via email using the box to the right. Thanks for stopping by!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup butter or margarine

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. Watkins vanilla

1 1/4 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp Watkins Cinnamon

1 tsp. salt

3 3/4 cup oats

1 cup raisins

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, beat butter and both sugars with electric beater. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until creamy. Stir together, flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. Gradually add to sugar mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and raisin. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly and remove from sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

These cookies usually get runny when I bake them - they spread out really thin in the oven so the last time I made them I added between 1/3 cup and 2/3 cup extra flour. The mixture was very thick. This did the trick and I got compliments.
