Meatball Pizza Soup

We had a really good homemade meatball pizza while visiting my son Dave and his family a while back.  I don’t often make homemade pizza but here’s a great meatball pizza soup that I like to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small bag frozen meatballs, or make your own which I did. (I’ll post that recipe next.)
  • 1 package pepperoni
  • 1 package sweet Italian Sausage
  •  small frozen raviolis, as many or few as you want.
  • 1 jar prepared spaghetti sauce
  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • Watkins Italian seasonings to taste

Directions:

The first three steps should all be done at the same time.

  1. Boil raviolis, drain.
  2. Cook Italian sausage with peppers and onions, drain.
  3. In a large stockpot, add meatballs, crushed tomatoes, sauce and Italian seasonings. Simmer while raviolis and sausage are cooking.
  4. After draining both the ravioli and sausage, add to stockpot.
  5. Simmer as long as you can take the smell! :O
  6. If its very thick, add water a cup at a time until it’s the consistency you’d like for your soup.
  7. Serve hot topped with shredded cheese of choice and serve bread for dipping.

Enjoy!
