We had a really good homemade meatball pizza while visiting my son Dave and his family a while back. I don’t often make homemade pizza but here’s a great meatball pizza soup that I like to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 small bag frozen meatballs, or make your own which I did. (I’ll post that recipe next.)
- 1 package pepperoni
- 1 package sweet Italian Sausage
- small frozen raviolis, as many or few as you want.
- 1 jar prepared spaghetti sauce
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- Watkins Italian seasonings to taste
Directions:
The first three steps should all be done at the same time.
- Boil raviolis, drain.
- Cook Italian sausage with peppers and onions, drain.
- In a large stockpot, add meatballs, crushed tomatoes, sauce and Italian seasonings. Simmer while raviolis and sausage are cooking.
- After draining both the ravioli and sausage, add to stockpot.
- Simmer as long as you can take the smell! :O
- If its very thick, add water a cup at a time until it’s the consistency you’d like for your soup.
- Serve hot topped with shredded cheese of choice and serve bread for dipping.
Enjoy!
