John made this chili for our church’s chili cookoff. It wasn’t the winner but did take third place.

Ingredients:

2 pounds coarsely ground beef

1 medium red onion, chopped

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 26 ounce jar of salsa, medium heat

2 15 ounce cans chili beans

2 15 ounce cans black eye peas

2 tablespoon Watkins garlic

1 tablespoon Watkins Chili Powder

1 tablespoon Kosher salt

1 tablespoon Watkins Meat Magic

Directions:

  1. Brown the ground beef.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook until transparent.
  3. Add the salsa and simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 3 hours.

Enjoy!
