Easy Chicken and Dumplings

A while back I found a recipe similar to this in a magazine but I’m not sure what ever happened to it.  I’m sure you know what I mean.  Find a recipe, cut it out, put it away somewhere to try later, and then you can’t find it.  I know I’m not the only one that does that.  Anyway, here’s a super easy chicken and dumplings recipe that your family is going to love.

Easy Chicken and Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1 package (32 oz) chicken broth
  • 3 Cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 (10 oz) Can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 (10.2 oz) tube Jumbo Buttermilk Biscuits
  • 2 diced carrots
  • 2 diced celery sticks

Directions

  1. Put the broth, chicken, soup and poultry seasoning in a large Dutch Oven and bring to a boil.
  2. Cover and reduce heat to low.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Increase heat to medium and bring to a low boil,
  5. Place biscuits on a lightly floured surface and roll or pat to 1/8 inch thickness.
  6. Cut biscuits into 1/2 wide strips.
  7. Drop the biscuit strips, 1 at a time into the boiling broth.
  8. Add carrots and celery.
  9. Cover and reduce heat to low.
  10. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    I truly can’t comprehend individuals who believe they could slim down with diets & pills. Come on , man, come on!!! Its not brain surgery now, is it? Intake less calories than you burn and you will lose fat – yes, its that simple!!!

    Thanks for that , very interesting. I get so bored of plain rice but I’m not very good at cooking. Do you have any recipes that “spice up” rice? I could sure use them.
