Cranberry Salad

We had our Thanksgiving dinner with church today and I made Cranberry Salad.  I got this recipe 35 years ago and most people like it, especially those who don’t care for cranberries.

Since there were several women that requested me to write the recipe for them,  I decided that it would be a good recipe to add here.  It is very simple and tastes so good!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1   pound cranberries
  • 1   20 ounce can crushed pineapple, do not drain
  • 2   cups sugar
  • 2   cups boiling water
  • 2   3 ounce packages cherry jello
  • 1   cup walnuts, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Grind the cranberries and add the pineapple juice and sugar.
  2. Mix well and let sit for two hours.

AFTER 2 HOURS

  • Mix the boiling water and jello.
  • Let cool.
  • Mix in the cranberry mixture and add the walnuts
  • Store in refrigerator until the jello sets up.

Enjoy
