Can you believe Christmas is less than 2 weeks away? I’ve been watching the weather in Northern Michigan and it looks terrible. I’m glad we moved when we did, but I still think about all our friends and family up there. With the amount of snow they are getting, I thought I’d honor them with Chocolate Snowballs.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 t Watkins Vanilla
- 2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup Watkins Cocoa
- 1 t Watkins baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t baking soda
- Confectioners’ sugar
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla; mix well.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Shape into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until tops are crackled.
- Remove from baking sheets; immediately roll in confectioners’ sugar.
- Cool completely. Roll again in confectioners’ sugar.
Makes 6 dozen.
Enjoy!
