Here’s another of my favorite Christmas cookie recipes.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
- 1 tablespoon Watkins Clear Vanilla
- 2 cup flour
DIRECTIONS
- Cream butter.
- Gradually add sugar; continue creaming until light and fluffy.
- Add cherries and vanilla.
- Blend in flour gradually; mix thoroughly.
- Shape into crescents, using a teaspoon for each crescent.
- Chill for a couple hours. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO DO.
- Bake in a 325 degree oven on an ungreased sheet for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cool slightly.
- Make a glaze of maraschino cherry syrup and confectioners’ sugar.
- Drip glaze over each crescent.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
