I came across these hints the other day and thought I’d share them with you.
Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating. Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.
Add a teaspoon of water when frying ground beef. It will help to pull the grease away from the meat while it cooks.
If you like reheated pizza but hate the fact that your microwave makes it soggy, try this. Heat in on top of the stove in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove. Use medium heat and heat it till it”s warm. The crust will stay crispy.
Making deviled eggs? Put your cooked egg yolks in a zipper bag, seal and mash until they are all broken up. Add the rest of your ingredients, reseal and continue mashing to mix all the ingredients. Once it’s mixed, just cut off a small piece of the corner and squeeze the mixture into your eggs. When you are done, just throw away the bag and your cleanup is done.
When you use premade cake frosting, whip it with your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size so you can frost more cake or cupcakes with the same amount of frosting. You’ll also get less calories and sugar per serving.
